Scissors and oil

Boat lives have officially started today. Tom put on his mechanic hat, changing the oil for both engines and inspecting our watermaker. Like all ocean cruising boats, Zen is equipped w/a salt water conversion system. He's accustomed to knocking these tasks off his lists.

Mine was a little more out of the ordinary. My 11-year-old daughter requested a haircut. She has such beautiful, shiny, thick brunette hair, which was professional coiffed only 3 weeks prior. But...after multiple polite pleas, I got the courage and the scissors. Here's the result. One more pic is in our photo gallery. Tom didn't take any photos of his old or new oil...ha ha ha!

Happy to be back on board!

From Monique: when I post these, if I am lacking photos from crew...I'll add some random sailing ones to keep it fun!
