One week to go
Bon Voyage party consisted of beautiful weather, 75 people, many under the age of 12, two grills, two inflatable slides, sweet-tart necklaces and our 90-year-old grandmother in cognito. Pleasantly, at times, it seemed more like a reunion, than a Birthday/Bon Voyage party. A bunch of the pictures are in our Photo Gallery. Channel 10 News came to cover our departure from the "rat race" and entrance to the "simple life" at sea. They aired the story on the six-o-clock news. We hope to attach the video to our blog soon.
Won't bore you with the lists, but you can imagine all the stuff happening around here. Best story is Tom's quick 30 minute visit to the dentist for a routine cleaning...it turned into a multi-hour wisdom tooth extraction. He's still rinsing with salt water. He's fine and will be surrounded by plenty of salt water in a few days.

Birthday and Bon Voyage
From Monique: when I post these, if I am lacking photos from crew...I'll add some random sailing ones to keep it fun!

Just saw your lead story on NBC 10. I love following sailing events and all of you are at the top of my list. God speed and fair winds, you have a new admirer (and follower!) in Portsmouth.

I ran across your sailblog accidently today. I was so intrigued by your story that I read every page. :D I send you and your family good mojo from Cranston, RI. May the wind be always at your back, Adrienne ______________________________________ "There is nothing -absolutely nothing- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." -Ratty said to Mole in Kenneth Grahame's beloved 1908 classic, The Wind in the Willows.
