Packed Schedules and duffles - Portsmouth RI

Monique Burgess • July 1, 2008

Jamming it all in

Strawberry picking, NYC, 2 recitals, many stage rehearsals, windsurfing lessons, sailing camp, sleep-overs and reunions. Can we possibly shove any more activities into our final few weeks on land?

School is over and everyone is counting down the days. Last minute orders have been placed for charts, books, software, and DC power cords to keep it all running. We have 2 big bags of homeschooling curriculum downstairs, 3 more duffles of gear, books, cords, movies, even the FlowBee...you name it, it's being packed.

Our schedules are as packed as our luggage, full of family, friends, business associates and well-wishers. Bon Voyage party is this weekend, our buddies, the Barkmans are coming in from PA to stay until our grand finale, and the flights will take us from Logan to Antigua.

Soon these logs will be submitted from Zen's navigation station. Can't wait!! Enjoy some new pictures in our Photo Gallery from the past few weeks.

Everything is packed to the brim, even the Jeep.

From Monique: when I post these, if I am lacking photos from crew...I'll add some random sailing ones to keep it fun!

Just saw your lead story on NBC 10. I love following sailing events and all of you are at the top of my list. God speed and fair winds, you have a new admirer (and follower!) in Portsmouth.

I ran across your sailblog accidently today. I was so intrigued by your story that I read every page. :D I send you and your family good mojo from Cranston, RI. May the wind be always at your back, Adrienne ______________________________________ "There is nothing -absolutely nothing- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." -Ratty said to Mole in Kenneth Grahame's beloved 1908 classic, The Wind in the Willows.
